Code of Conduct Agreement I agree to conduct myself in a manner that reflects Christ and honors the mission of Utah Reach. This includes: Respecting team leaders, local pastors, and ministry partners. Following the daily schedule, rules, and guidelines. Maintaining purity and integrity in speech, behavior, and relationships. Refraining from alcohol, drugs, vaping, tobacco, and inappropriate behavior during the trip. Respecting all property, people, and cultural environments in Utah. I understand that failure to uphold this conduct may result in being sent home at my own expense. Cultural Respect & Evangelism Agreement I understand that we will be ministering in predominantly Mormon communities. I agree to: Share the gospel with love, respect, and clarity. Avoid arguments, disrespect, mockery, or hostile debates. Honor local customs, beliefs, and individuals. Represent Christ and Utah Reach in a gracious, truthful manner. Doctrinal Alignment Agreement I acknowledge that Utah Reach is a Christian mission grounded in biblical beliefs. While full theological agreement is not required, I agree not to promote teachings contrary to: The authority of Scripture Salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ The Trinity Biblical moral standards I agree to submit doctrinal questions to leaders rather than teach independently. Purity Agreement Utah Reach Mission Trip Code of Conduct (With Bible Verses)** To honor Jesus, protect our witness, and maintain purity and integrity, all team members agree to the following biblical standards while on the Utah Reach Mission Trip. 1. Physical Touch & Public Affection Standards: No kissing, cuddling, or romantic physical affection in public. Physical touch must be respectful, brief, and non-romantic. No lying down together, sitting on laps, or prolonged intimate contact. Maintain boundaries that honor one another. Bible Verses: “Treat… younger women as sisters, with absolute purity.” — 1 Timothy 5:2 “Avoid every kind of evil.” — 1 Thessalonians 5:22 “Love… does not act improperly.” — 1 Corinthians 13:5 2. Sexual Purity Standards: No sexual activity of any kind outside of biblical marriage. No sexual touching, sexting, explicit messages, or compromising situations. No being alone in private spaces with someone you’re romantically interested in. Bible Verses: “Flee from sexual immorality.” — 1 Corinthians 6:18 “This is the will of God… that you abstain from sexual immorality.” — 1 Thessalonians 4:3 “Let marriage be held in honor… for God will judge the sexually immoral.” — Hebrews 13:4 3. Pornography & Sexual Content Standards: No pornography in any form. No viewing, downloading, sending, or interacting with explicit content. No engaging in sexual content online or on social media. Bible Verses: “I will set no worthless thing before my eyes.” — Psalm 101:3 “Everyone who looks at a woman with lust has already committed adultery in his heart.” — Matthew 5:28 “Whatever is pure… think about these things.” — Philippians 4:8 4. Dating & Romantic Relationships on the Trip Standards: This trip is focused on ministry, not dating. No starting new romantic relationships during the mission. Existing couples must keep boundaries that protect purity and witness. Bible Verses: “Do nothing out of selfish ambition… but in humility.” — Philippians 2:3 “Two are better than one… a threefold cord is not easily broken.” — Ecclesiastes 4:9–12 (Christ should be that third cord.) 5. Modesty & Appearance Standards: Clothing must be modest and appropriate for ministry. Avoid tight, revealing, low-cut, or sexually suggestive clothing. Leaders may ask you to change if clothing is inappropriate. Bible Verses: “Women should adorn themselves in respectable apparel, with modesty and self-control.” — 1 Timothy 2:9 “Do not let your adornment be merely external… but the hidden person of the heart.” — 1 Peter 3:3–4 “Honor God with your body.” — 1 Corinthians 6:20 6. Sleeping Arrangements Standards: Men and women must stay in separate sleeping areas. No entering the opposite gender’s room without leader permission. Follow curfews and housing rules. Bible Verses: “Abstain from every form of evil.” — 1 Thessalonians 5:22 “Make no provision for the flesh to gratify its desires.” — Romans 13:14 7. Substance Use & Behavior Standards: No alcohol, illegal drugs, vaping, or recreational marijuana. No being under the influence at any time. Avoid anything that harms your witness. Bible Verses: “Do not get drunk on wine… instead be filled with the Spirit.” — Ephesians 5:18 “Your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit.” — 1 Corinthians 6:19 “Be alert and sober-minded.” — 1 Peter 5:8 8. Social Media & Public Witness Standards: No posting sexual, suggestive, mocking, or disrespectful content. No attacking or mocking Mormons—share truth with love. Represent Christ with integrity online and offline. Bible Verses: “Let your speech always be gracious.” — Colossians 4:6 “Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths.” — Ephesians 4:29 “You are the light of the world… let your light shine.” — Matthew 5:14–16 9. Respect & Accountability Standards: Leaders may correct behavior to protect the team. Participants agree to accept correction humbly. Violations may result in consequences or being sent home at your own expense. Bible Verses: “Obey your leaders and submit to them.” — Hebrews 13:17 “Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge.” — Proverbs 12:1 “Iron sharpens iron.” — Proverbs 27:17 I agree to follow the Utah Reach Mission Trip Code of Conduct and the biblical standards for purity, physical boundaries, integrity, and behavior. I understand that failure to follow these guidelines may result in consequences, including being sent home at my own expense. Team Commitment Agreement Participate in all required pre-trip trainings and meetings. Attend daily devotionals, prayer times, and team discussions. Engage fully in outreach activities, service projects, and church partnerships. Maintain a positive, humble, and teachable attitude throughout the trip. Safety & Health Agreement I understand that mission work may involve physical activity, travel, and unpredictable environments. I agree to: Follow all safety directions given by leaders. Disclose any medical conditions, allergies, or medications needed while on the trip. Bring all medications, inhalers, EpiPens, or medical supplies required for my health. Notify leaders immediately if I feel unwell or unsafe. I acknowledge that Utah Reach is not responsible for injury caused by undisclosed medical issues or negligence. Media Release Agreement I give permission for Utah Reach to photograph, film, or record me during the trip and to use these images for: Promotional materials Social media posts Fundraising Ministry reports Website or future trip promotions I understand that no payment or compensation will be provided for these uses. Uncheck if you do not want your photo used. Liability Release & Assumption of Risk I understand the inherent risks involved in travel, ministry activities, and outdoor environments. By participating in this trip, I voluntarily assume all risks related to: Travel and transportation Physical activity Outdoor or street outreach Illness, injury, or unforeseen events I release Utah Reach, its leaders, volunteers, and partner churches from liability for incidents outside of their reasonable control. This does not waive liability for gross negligence or misconduct. Financial Responsibility Agreement I understand that: All trip fees must be paid before departure. If I am asked to leave the trip due to misconduct, I am responsible for return travel expenses. Personal spending money is my responsibility. Donations or fundraising received on my behalf are non-refundable. Confidentiality & Privacy Agreement I agree to: Maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information shared by team members or individuals we minister to. Respect personal boundaries and privacy.
