Despite the high number of places of worship in Utah, over 97% are affiliated with the LDS Church, meaning few churches teach salvation by grace alone through Jesus Christ.
While religion is deeply woven into the culture, less than 20% of households in Utah believe in the biblical gospel. Many know religion—but not a relationship with Christ.
Utah receives far fewer Christian interns, missionaries, and ministry leaders compared to other U.S. states—despite being the least-reached state in the country.
With many LDS families sending missionaries worldwide, reaching one person in Utah could impact communities around the globe. It’s a mission field with exponential potential.

Why I Want to Serve in Utah
My heart is burdened for the people of Utah—many of whom have grown up surrounded by religion but have never truly heard the gospel of grace. I want to serve in Utah because I believe Jesus offers hope and freedom that can’t be earned, only received. God has placed a calling on my life to go where few are going and love people where they are.
